Before we had kids, JR and I spent a lot of time at the driving range. It was something we really enjoyed doing together. Now that we have two amazing daughters, it’s nearly impossible to get to the driving range. I have thought about taking the girls, but I fear they could get hurt. There are just too many FAST moving parts. We have often joked that one of these days we are going to have a “beer drinking” lunch. We go out to lunch often and observe customers enjoying a beer at lunch time. I often wonder if they are headed back to work, or if they have the day off. It always seemed like it would be nice to sit outside on a nice day and have a few beers over lunch.
So our July date kind of never happened. We had planned to go and have a long “beer drinking” lunch and hit golf balls. The problem was that it was over 100 degrees the day we planned it. So, we went to lunch, but didn’t sit outside. We ended up having a quick lunch and never went to the driving range. We hope to make it up sometime in the upcoming weeks.
The date card read “We’re going to spend a long lunch hour hitting golf balls and enjoying a “beer drinking” lunch. Love, Lisa.” In the July envelope, I included the date card and cash to spend on the golf balls.
