We love pizza and calzones at our house.  Really, we love anything with dough/bread, pizza sauce, and cheese.  I saw this recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it a try!  The calzone’s were very tasty!  I got a little frustrated shaping the dough, but I got there eventually!  We filled our with sauce, cheese, and sausage.  I look forward to making other varieties as well!

Individual Pizza’s using Rhodes Dinner Rolls June 16, 2012

These individual pizza’s were amazing!  Every member of my picky family inhaled them!  The best part is that they were very quick, easy, and inexpensive!  I plan to make these again in other varieties such as taco pizza, alfredo spinach, and bbq chicken.  The possibilities are endless.  The recipe suggests using a generous amount of olive oil on the baking sheet.  I followed directions and I’m glad I did.  I think the oil made the crust crispier!  You should try these out.  Your family will love them.

Time:  I defrosted mine for 1.5 hours and then it only took 5 minutes to prep and 10-12 minutes to bake.

Substitutions:  My daughter doesn’t like “red sauce”, so she spread alfredo sauce on hers.  I plan to make these again in other varieties such as taco pizza and alfredo spinach, and bbq chicken.  The possibilities are endless.

Crispy Southwestern Chicken Wraps June 5, 2012

My husband loves anything in a tortilla.  I saw these Crispy Southwest Chicken Wraps on Pinterest and I decided to give them a try!  It took me an hour to prepare the recipe, but I had extras.  We really enjoyed this recipe.  My husband had seconds, of course!  I dipped my wrap in ranch, but sour cream or salsa would be an excellent garnish as well.

LEFTOVERS – I refrigerated one of the extra wraps and ate it for lunch the next day.  It was delicious as a leftover.  I microwaved the wrap on 80% power for 1-1.5 minutes.  I also froze two wraps.  My plan is to microwave the frozen wraps for about 2 minutes.  I’ll let you know how they turn out.  If the freezing method works, next time I’ll make a double batch and have an awesome go-to freezer meal when I’m in a hurry!

Substitutions:  The recipe says to roll the wraps so the ends are open.  I opted to roll them up like a burrito, closing the ends.  Also, I brushed olive oil on the wraps instead of spraying with cooking spray.  Also, it took me more than 3 minutes per side to brown the tortillas.

Time:  1 hour
